Location:Asia. Turkey

Istanbul is Turkey's most populous city, and its cultural and financial center. Located on both sides of the Bosphorus, the narrow strait between the Black Sea and the Marmara Sea, Istanbul bridges Asia and Europe both physically and culturally. Istanbul's population is estimated to be between 12 and 19 million people, making it also one of the largest in Europe and the world.

St. Savior in Chora is one of the most beautiful examples of a Byzantine church which is situated in the western, Edirnekapı district of Istanbul. The interior of the building is covered with fine mosaics and frescoes.
     
                                 
The Basilica Cistern (Underground Cistern) was built by Justinian I.During the Byzantium Period, it was used as a reservoir for water storage for the Great Palace and other buildings in the First Hill. During the Ottoman Period, the water was used for Topkapi Palace and watering the gardens of it.



Princess Islands are a combination of nine islands off the Asian coast of Istanbul, in the Sea of Marmara.  Prince 's Islands, an archipelago of nine car-free islands, characterized by stunning wooden mansions and pine groves.
  Maiden Tower rising in the south-eastern part of the fortress of Ichari Shahar.
