Verona-Romeo&Juliet's City

Verona is a city in the Veneto region of northeast Italy's most famous as the setting for Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. Although the most popular destination, near Venice, Verona, many people consider visiting a relaxed and pleasant place. There are many tourists, but the number of tourists per square meter is lower. As well as the setting for the story of Romeo and Juliet is known, is a historic Verona Italy, a tangle of his past history and modern industry. One of the most powerful cities in the early reign of the Roman Empire, the old city of Verona, one of the best preserved sections of the country.

Juliet's house- Although the house is old, the balcony was added in 1936 and declared to be "Juliet's house" to attract tourists.

The Arena-Spectacular Roman amphitheater is crumbling on the outside, but still functioning today. It was the first Century AD in an elliptical shape and is the world's third largest amphitheater in the ancient world survived. Much of the outer ring was damaged during the earthquake of 1117, but the inner part is still intact.

Porta Borsari-The remains of a Roman gate, dates to at least the 2nd Century AD, but is almost certainly older.

Top of the Forum in Roman times, this is still a focal point of the city. Contains the 'Britney Verona "fountain of the 14th century" Gardello Tower', and a market that seems as quaint, has become another tourist cliché during its recent renovation.

Budapest- A Delightful City

 Budapest is one of  Europe’s most delightful and enjoyable cities.Budapest is the capital city of Hungary.  With green filled parks,interesting museums, and a pulsating nightlife.

Heroes’ Square is one of the major squares of Budapest, Hungary, rich with historic and political connotations. It lies at the end of Andrassy Avenue (with which it comprises part of an extensive World Heritage site), next to City Park.

The Hungarian Parliament Building is the seat of the National Assembly of Hungary, one of the Europe’s oldest legislative buildings, a notable landmark of Hungary and a popular tourist destination of Budapest.

Chain Bridge was completed in 1849, the oldest, auguably most beautiful and certainly the most photographed of Budapest’s bridge, floodlit at night.

Danube River is Europe’s second longest river after the Volga. It is classified as an international waterway.

Obidos-Portuguese Castles

Location: Europe. Portugal

Obidos is a town of approximately 3100 inhabitants and municipal seat of the municipality of Obidos, located in the Oeste Subregion, of the historical district of Leira, in Portugal.

Porta da Vila, It is the main entrance to the castle. Here, one can admire an oratory with a balcony covered with 18th century tiles representing the Passion of Christ. One can find the inscription referring to the Patroness Saint of Óbidos, Our Lady of Sorrow, stating the following: “The Virgin, Our Lady was conceived without original sin”.
There are also two interesting details at the Town Gate are: the painted ceiling, recently restored, representing a crown of thorns; and the double doors typical of Portuguese Castles.





Santa Maria Church Famous for being the site where the 10-year-old Afonso V married his cousin aged 8, also boasts exquisite 17th-century tiles and a fine Renaissance tomb



Toledo-UNESCO heritage

Denoted a UNESCO heritage site in 1986, Toledo represents a very worthwhile day-trip from Madrid. Arm yourself with a map to avoid getting completely lost!

Toledo is in Castilla La Mancha which sits majestically above the the Tagus River. The history of Toledo dates back to Roman occupation  circa 192BC. The ruins of the Roman circus are still visible just outside the walls of the city. Roman occupation was followed by Visagothic rule, Muslim rule and finally the Reconquest of Toledo in 1085AD. Toledo was the capital of the Spanish empire until the mid 1500's when the royal court moved to Madrid.

The Mosque of Cristo de la Luz is a former mosque in Toledo, Spain, the only one of the ten once existing in the city which remains largely as it was in the Moorish period.

The Puerta Bab al-Mardum, or Puerta Valmarón, is a city gate of Toledo, Spain. It was built in the 10th century and is probably the oldest gate of the city.

Santiago del Arrabal is built in 1245-48, at the orders of Sancho II, on the site of an older church and a mosque that is known to been used since 1125. Many characteristics of the mosque have remained in the present building which is built in the Mudéjar architectural style

The Monasterio de San Juan de los Reyes (English: Monastery of Saint John of the Kings) is a historic monastery in Toledo, Spain.

The Synagogue of El Transito is a historical building in Toledo, Spain, founded by Samuel ha-Levi in 1336.

The Castillo de San Servando  is a medieval castle in Toledo, Spain, next the Tagus River. It was begun as a monastery in 1088.

Frankfort-German state of Hesse

Location: Europe. Germany

Frankfort is the largest city in the German state of Hesse and the fifth-largest city in Germany. The city is known for its futuristics skyline and the biggest German airport.





The name of the city hall means "Roman". In fact, nine houses were acquired by the city council in 1405 from a wealthy merchant family. The middle house became the town hall and was later connected with the neighbouring buildings. In the upper floor, there is the Kaisersaal ("Emperor's Hall") where the newly crowned emperors held their banquets. The Römer was partially destroyed in World War IIand later rebuilt. It is located at the Römerberg (city hall square).



1.Saint Bartholomew's Cathedralis a Gothic building which was constructed in the 14th and 15th centuries on the foundation of an earlier church from the Merovingian time.  2.St. Paul's Church (Paulskirche) is a national historic monument in Germany with great political symbolism, because it was the seat of the first democratically elected Parliament in 1848.   3.St. Katherine's church is the largest evangelical (Lutheran) church in Frankfurt. It is located in the city centre at the entrance to the Zeil.  4.The famous old opera house (Alte Oper) was built in 1880 by the architect Richard Lucae. It was one of the major opera houses in Germany until it was heavily damaged in World War II. Now is a concert hall.
